President Arif Alvi said on Thursday that even small countries are far ahead of Pakistan in terms of cyber power.
The President was addressing a joint session of the Parliament on the occasion of the commencement of the last parliamentary year of the current National Assembly.
Clause 3 of Article 56 requires the President to address Parliament after every general election and the first session of the parliamentary year to inform the legislators of the “reasons for his summons”.
This will be the shortest parliamentary year as it will last 310 days, given that the National Assembly has not been dissolved before.
President Alvi was supposed to address the joint session on August 14, but the address was postponed due to the concerns of the coalition government.
