A group of students from Pakistan Navy Engineering College-Nist has roped in Tesla as their innovation partner.
The partnership will allow Formula Electric Racing NUST (FERN) to receive technical assistance, technology sharing, and components necessary for electric vehicle (EV) development from the world leader in the EV field.
With this achievement, FERN has now become the first and only academic institution to collaborate with one of the world’s most recognized names in the automotive industry (Tesla).

FERN is a formula student team of Pakistan Navy Engineering College, one of the constituent colleges of NUST. The team has been working in electric propulsion since 2016.
He has the unique distinction of representing Pakistan in 5 Formula Student events and achieving the only podium finish for any Pakistani team.

The team is currently working on developing several in-house components that it plans to integrate into future iterations of the vehicle.
