The Lahore High Court ordered the Punjab government’s Ravi Development Authority (RUDA) to take action against the Supreme Court’s order.
It was hearing a Public Interest Litigation filed against Roda’s actions.
Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court heard the case on Tuesday.
The petitioner claimed that the authority was acting on the pretext of amending the Act.
The petitioner said that the authority is acting against the law, the court should stop the authority from acquiring more land.
The Supreme Court had told the authority that it can only work on the land it has acquired and paid for. Land for which Rhoda has not paid, he cannot acquire.
