In a tit-for-tat move, the PTI submitted a reference in the National Assembly against former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, seeking disqualification for taking vehicles from Tosha Khana, JEE News reported.

PTI said in a reference that there was evidence that Zardari had deviated from the law as he had bought three cars from Tosha Khana when Yusuf Raza Gilani was the prime minister.

However, Asif Zardari, being the President, was not eligible to take the vehicle from Tosha Khana.

According to the report, the reference states that Asif Zardari was the President of Pakistan from 2008 to 2013 and after former Prime Minister Geelani illegally relaxed the Tosha Khana rules, he used Tosha during his tenure. He kept the bullet proof vehicles gifted by the Khana.

The Tosha Khana was transferred to the Cabinet Division in 1970, the reference said, and the Division first framed the Tosha Khana procedure under the Government Conduct Rules, 1964 and since then there have been several amendments.

It said that after the first amendment to the Tosha Khana procedure on March 30, 1978, the then Chief Executive issued a summary banning the retention of vehicles by recipients of gifts. Suggested.

The reference stated that the summary was approved by the then Chief Executive on February 29, 2000 and the revised procedure was circulated by an Ombudsman on March 10, 2000.

The reference cited Rule 9 of the Tosha Khana Procedure, which states, “All antiques and cars shall not be allowed to be purchased by the recipients… Cars shall be given to the Central Pool of Cars of the Cabinet Division.”

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has also sought the bank account details of PTI Chairman Imran Khan from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in connection with the Tosha Khana reference.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has already reserved its decision in the Tosha Khana case filed against former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
