Another alleged audio of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was leaked on social media platforms.
In recent days, several audios have surfaced, allegedly involving government officials and PTI leaders. The prime minister has set up a high-powered inquiry committee to probe the matter, particularly the PM House leaks. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan also demanded the formation of a JIT on the matter of bugging in the Prime Minister House.
In the latest audio leak, Prime Minister Shehbaz can be heard talking to an unidentified person regarding the race to become Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.
The man is heard in the audio telling the prime minister that Ayaz Sadiq claims that the PPP members are demanding a share from the SAPM [Special Assistant to the Prime Minister’s] quota. Bilawal said.

The audio leak story
On 11 October, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the culprits behind the audio leak had been identified, adding that the method used to steal these sound bytes was not bugging but telephone tapping.
The first tape allegedly showed Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and a senior official. In it, Muslim League (N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz had a discussion with her uncle about ordering a power plant from India for her son-in-law.
On September 25, two more audio leaks took place on social media. One of them was related to the resignations of PTI legislators and the other was related to former finance minister Miftah Ismail.
The first PTI-related audio was leaked on September 28, in which Khan allegedly asked his then principal secretary Azam Khan to “play” the US cipher.
A second PTI audio leak surfaced on September 30, allegedly exposing Khan’s conspiracy narrative.
In it, the then Prime Minister Khan, former Minister Asad Umar, and the then Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister were allegedly in a meeting discussing the American cipher and using it for their own (PTI) benefit. can be heard.
Following the back-to-back leaks, the National Security Council (NSC) approved the formation of a high-level committee headed by Sanaullah to investigate the matter.
In its meeting a day later on September 30, the federal cabinet also endorsed the NSC’s decision to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
However, despite the government’s decision to investigate the matter, a couple more audios of Khan and his aides were leaked.
In the first of two audios leaked on October 7, Khan can be heard allegedly talking about horse trading and discussing ‘buying five’ and the ‘number game’. However, he was speaking alone and no one could hear him.
In another audio leaked later the same day, the former prime minister was allegedly talking to PTI leaders Shireen Mazari and Asad Umar to plan ahead of the no-confidence motion.
