Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided to take action against senior leader Aitzaz Ahsan for going against party policy and making remarks about Pakistan Muslim League (N) and its Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
A day ago, PPP Punjab Acting President Rana Farooq Saeed said that Aitzaz Ahsan is involved in Imran Khan’s conspiracy to derail democracy in the country, so his party membership should be cancelled.
On the other hand, Muslim League-N has also asked for an investigation against Aitzaz.
On which the People’s Party decided to conduct an investigation and convened a meeting of the party today in Lahore. Which will be chaired by Saeed. . According to JEE News report, there is a possibility of canceling Aitzaz’s party membership after passing the resolution against Aitzaz in the meeting.
Several senior leaders of the party have expressed their reservations over Aitzaz Ahsan’s statement, claiming that this is not the first time that he has taken a stand different from the party policy.
