Phil Foden has penned a new deal with Manchester City that will keep the England midfielder at the club until 2027.
The previous 22-year deal was due to expire in 2024.
After emerging as one of City’s brightest academy products, Foden has scored 52 goals in 182 games since making his debut in November 2017.
“It’s hard to put into words how happy I am to sign this contract,” Foden said.
“It’s a dream come true. I’ve been a City fan all my life. I’ve trained here for many years and I’ve also been a ball boy.
“I love this club so much, so to know I’ll be a part of it until 2027 feels amazing.”
Stockport-born Foden, who has scored two goals in 18 caps for England, won 11 trophies with City, including four Premier League titles, four EFL Cups and an FA Cup.
He has also won the Premier League Young Player of the Season and PFA Young Player of the Year awards in each of the last two seasons.
City boss Pep Guardiola gave him his debut aged 17 and Foden credited the Spaniard with his impressive development over the past five years.

“I’ve improved a lot in recent years and a lot of that is down to Pep and his staff, who guide me every single day on the training pitch,” added Foden, who has since A goal or assist every 120.5 minutes. Start of the 2019-20 season.
“Working with them gives me a great opportunity to improve and become a better player.
“With the squad we have here, I think I can keep learning and keep winning trophies. Those are the two most important things for me.”
