US President Joe Biden has said that Pakistan “could be one of the most dangerous countries in the world” because the country has “uncoordinated nuclear weapons”.
The US President made these comments while addressing a reception for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee on Thursday.
“And what I think is probably one of the most dangerous nations in the world: Pakistan. Nuclear weapons without coordination,” Biden said in a transcript of the speech posted on the White House website.
Biden’s comments were made in reference to the changing global geopolitical situation, as he highlighted that the world is changing rapidly, and countries are rethinking their alliances.
“And the truth of the matter is — I genuinely believe it — that the world is watching us. No joke. Even our enemies are watching us to see how we’re doing. We understand what we do,” he added.
Biden maintained that “there’s a lot at stake” and that America has the ability to take the world to a place it’s never been before.
“Did any of you ever think that you would have a Russian leader, after the Cuban Missile Crisis, threatening to use tactical nuclear weapons that could only kill three, four thousand people and a Can be limited to making a point?” he questioned.
“Did anyone think that we would be in a situation where China is trying to figure out its role vis-à-vis Russia and vis-à-vis India and vis-à-vis Pakistan?” the US president added.
Biden claimed that he had “spent more time with [Chinese President] Xi Jinping than any other head of state in the world”. He added that his Chinese counterpart was “a guy who understands what he wants but has a huge array of problems”.
“How do we handle that? How do we handle that in the face of what’s happening in Russia? And I think probably one of the most dangerous nations in the world: Pakistan. Nuclear weapons without coordination,” Biden said.
He added that “a lot is happening”, but emphasized that “there is enormous opportunity for America to change dynamically in the second quarter of the 21st century”.
Minister Terms Statement ‘Baseless’
At a press conference later today, Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir dismissed Biden’s statement as “baseless.”
International agencies have not once but many times confirmed Pakistan’s nuclear deterrent and said that our command and control system is secure. It has all the protection it needs,” he maintained.
Several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, who have repeatedly accused the US government of being behind the ouster of former prime minister and PTI chief Imran Khan, also echoed Biden’s statement. Condemned.
PTI Secretary General Asad Umar questioned whether Biden was talking about America when he spoke of a nuclear country without coordination.
“After all, his party is going after Donald Trump for violating the Constitution and trying to steal the last presidential election,” he added.
Nuclear country without cohesion? Is biden referring to the US? After all his party is going after donald trump for trying to subvert the constitution and steal the last presidential election! Countries in glass houses should think before throwing stones at others https://t.co/mhlCDilQgc

Assad maintained that countries living in “glass houses” should think before they “throw stones at others”.
PTI leader and former information minister Chaudhry Fawad said that it seems that President Biden wants to distract people from his declining reputation among Americans by making statements about Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Fawad added that the Pakistani government may be weak but the Pakistani people were not.

Former human rights minister Shireen Mazari demanded that the US president apologises to the Pakistani nation for his “nasty remarks”, which she claimed came because his “regime change conspiracy is faltering”.
“A nuclear US is a threat for [the] world because you have no control over your nukes. B52 bomber takes off with 6 live nukes 2007 and no one knows for hours!” she added.
