Robbie Coltrane spoke emotionally about his death months before he took his last breath.
In a confessional statement on the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts, Coltrane admitted: “It’s the end of an era. Ten years of my life. Of course my children have grown up during that time.”
Teary-eyed, Coltrane continued: “The legacy of the movies is that my kids’ generation will show them to their kids… so you can easily see it in 50 years… I won’t be here. , sadly. But Hagrid would, yes.”

The actor’s death was announced by Belinda Wright on social media: “Robbie was a unique talent, winning three consecutive Best Actor BAFTAs for his role as Fitz in the Granada TV series Cracker in 1994, 1995 and 1996. Shared the record award with Sir Michael Gambon.
