Former prime minister and chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has warned that his long march may be prone to chaos. He said this while addressing a press conference in Bani Gala on Monday.

The key meeting of the PTI chaired by Imran Khan was mainly held to decide when to push its strategic envelope to increase pressure on the government in case of a final ultimatum of early elections. .

The meeting also consulted on the finalization of the date of the long march, while the report of the preliminary results of the by-elections was also reviewed.

Addressing a press conference after the party’s key meeting, Khan said the nation did not believe in an imported government or an assembly made up of criminals, so Sunday’s by-elections were a ‘referendum’.

Khan alleged that the elections were held in constituencies where the PTI was weak and the ruling coalition fielded joint candidates to ensure his party’s defeat – but they failed.

He said that the government did not want to hold elections and used the flood as an excuse. “They said there was a flood. But the constituencies where the elections were held, were not affected by the flood.

The PTI chief claimed that the Sindh Election Commissioner is on the payroll of the provincial government. The PTI chairman said that he rejected the Karachi by-elections and demanded re-elections.
