ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has given his team a 72-hour deadline to ensure that their container is ready for the long march to Islamabad by Sunday.
The publication, quoting PTI sources, reported that the container is being renovated in Sector G/8-4, near the party’s secretariat in Islamabad. The party has asked to install air conditioners, fans, air coolers, LEDs, toilets and even heaters in the container.
Fence will Protect Container.
After the renovation, the leadership will decide whether the container will be taken to Lahore or Peshawar. The central leadership will go to the container along with the PTI chief.
On the other hand, the district administration of Islamabad has seized more than 700 containers to counter the ‘Azadi March’.
Police in the capital said they would arrange for around 1,100 containers to seal off the capital during the long march. A total of 525 containers have been placed on 22 different roads.
The PTI chairman is holding rallies to prepare his supporters and workers for a march to Islamabad. However, they are yet to share the history of the Long March.
This will be the PTI chief’s second long march towards Islamabad after he was removed from the post of prime minister through a no-confidence motion.
The government has been warning PTI against coming to Islamabad and has vowed to deal with Imran Khan’s long march with an iron fist.
The government has also approached the Supreme Court with a contempt of court plea against the PTI chief’s long march.
