A 25-year-old married woman was found dead in her room in Sunder area of Lahore on Sunday.
The victim, identified as Maryam, was killed with a sharp instrument, according to the police, who initially examined the body.
Police officials said that on receiving the information, they reached the spot. They removed the body from a room and shifted it to the mortuary.
Forensic teams also collected evidence from the crime scene.
Sensing suspicion, the police said they have taken the deceased’s husband Azim into custody and are investigating the incident keeping various aspects in mind.
