Five members of the same family were killed over a property dispute in Kohat’s Lachi tehsil on Sunday.
The police have registered a case against the accused in Lachi police station. The search for the accused is ongoing.
According to the Kohat Police, there was a property dispute between two families and the incident took place when both parties came face to face in Kolan neighborhood.
On the encounter, the accused opened fire on the opponents, as a result of which 3 people died on the spot while 2 were injured, who later succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
As soon as the news spread, the police rushed to the spot and collected vital evidence before launching a search for the attackers.
The police said that Rauf Khan, Mansoor Rauf, Haider Rauf, Saqib Rauf and Aamir Mahmood are among the dead. Their funerals have been held.
A case has been registered in Lachi police station in which 6 accused have been named.
