Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has reacted strongly to the explosive statements of its former senator Faisal Vawda on Wednesday.
As the party got its way, senior party leaders and Vavada colleagues abandoned him on social media and accused the government of allegedly brainwashing them to turn against the party and its chairman. .
Show Cause Notice Sent
The PTI on Wednesday evening issued a show-cause notice to Vawda to explain his statements.
In a notice issued by PTI Sindh President Ali Zaidi, it was written that VAWDA has committed serious breach of discipline by making statements against party policies and guidelines.
“This is a serious violation of party rules as per the constitution and you are required to submit a response within 2 days of this notice as to why your party membership should be revoked.”
The notice added that until he responds to the notice, his party membership was suspended and he was barred from holding any party office or representing the party in the media.

Party Leaders Reprimanded Vawda
Soon after his news conference, several party leaders reprimanded Vawda for his statements.
In his tweet, PTI Sindh President Ali Zaidi reacted and said that the press conference is an act of sabotaging the Long March.
He added that while PTI Chairman Imran Khan stayed away from many screens, Vawda’s press conference was telecast by all private televisions, even the state-run Pakistan Television (PTV). .
He said that the PTI chairman had clearly instructed the participants of the march to remain peaceful, in this regard Faisal Vawda’s press conference has no significance.

PTI General Secretary Asad Umar was also seen leaving WAVDA in a hurry. He termed his colleague’s statements against party policy.
He further said that PTI Sindh Chapter President Ali Zaidi has been instructed by party chief Imran Khan to issue a show cause notice to Faisal Vawda.
Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said in a TV interview that he is still trying to understand what Vawda said.
He said that I could not understand his press conference.
He further said that families and peaceful participants will participate in the march. Faisal Vawda has said that it is wrong to call the long march as the bloodiest.
