PTI Warned of Action For Violating Law

With the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) planning to take out a long march towards the federal capital on Friday, the federal government has warned that no political party should be allowed to destabilize the state through a long march. will be given, while no political party will be allowed to destabilize the state through a long march. In the notification issued by the Federal Interior Ministry on Thursday evening, it was further directed that government employees and government officers cannot be part of the protest.

He first reminded all provinces and territories of the “importance of adherence to the constitution and laws of the country by all concerned”.

“Therefore it is important that the federal and provincial governments work in unison and implement the constitutional provisions,” he added.

The Home Ministry referred to Article 148 (1) and Article 149 (4) of the Constitution.

Article 148(1)

Responsibility of the Provinces and the Federation (1) The administrative authority of each province shall be exercised in such a manner as to secure compliance with the federal laws applicable in that province.

Article 149(4)

The administrative authority of each province shall be exercised in such a manner as to ensure compliance with the federal laws applicable in that province.

The notice further states that the executive authority of the Federation shall extend to directing a province to exercise its executive authority for the purpose of preventing any serious threat to the peace and tranquility or economic life of Pakistan. or any part thereof.

It said that it is the responsibility of all governments under the constitutional and legal framework of the country to unite and implement the constitutional provisions and drew attention to Article 149(4).

The Ministry of Interior said that the procedure for protesting has been defined by the constitution and the court through several judgments.

He also directed the government agencies to ensure that no government employees are allowed to be part of PTI’s long march.

If there is any deviation from the pre-approved route and other parameters for damages, action will be taken against them.
