Two guys with boxes standing at the door of Twitter’s San Francisco building are making the rounds on social media, said to have been fired by the company’s new owner, Elon Musk.

Musk, who recently struck a $44 billion deal to acquire Twitter, is reportedly laying off employees.

In the video shared on social media, two people can be seen standing outside the Twitter building.

One man introduced himself to reporters as “Rahel Legma” and held up Michelle Obama’s book, “Becoming.” The other identified himself as Daniel Johnson.

People online were skeptical of the couple due to their outlandish claims.

The Verge later confirmed that “Rahul Ligma” did not exist in Twitter’s Slack or email systems, despite multiple news sites reporting that the two men were former employees. He claimed that “Ligma” was a made-up word used to deceive people.

Lee tweeted, “Highly ironic that a major news outlet failed to do basic due diligence and fell victim to a crisis actor prank, resulting in misinformation on the first day of new ownership. You Just asking to see a badge or finding bird-themed items in boxes. Also, we don’t use zoom.”

Elon Musk, renowned for his wit and mistrust of the media, also cleverly responded to the entire prankster incident. He jokingly said, “Ligma Johnson had it coming.
