Govt has not Decided to Allow Long March in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Sunday that the government has not decided whether to allow the Long March to enter Islamabad or not.

Sanaullah said: “It has not been decided whether they will be allowed to enter Islamabad or not. If they ensure peaceful protest, they will be allowed to enter.” will be allowed.”

The home minister said that the government has extended the limits of the red zone and PTI will be allowed to enter the capital if they ensure that their protest will be in accordance with the court order.

Commenting on the audio conversation between PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur and a man named Asad Khan regarding the bringing of ammunition for the Long March, Sanaullah said: “Based on the audio that emerged yesterday, they were not allowed to enter Islamabad. should not be allowed.”

A day earlier, the minister shared the allegedly leaked audio of Ali Amin Gandapur, who can be heard talking about bringing arms for the long march, according to Sanaullah, the PTI chairman. Imran Khan had a plan to create chaos in the capital.

“Some people are wanted. Once they are found, their intentions will be known through interrogation,” the minister told the programme.

On Negotiated Offers

Talking about the offer of talks by the PTI chief and party leaders, Sanaullah said that Imran Khan had sent a message to discuss the election date and the appointment of the army chief.

“Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif did not accept Imran Khan’s proposal,” he shared, adding that Pervez Khattak and Fawad Chaudhry had also approached [the government] for similar discussions a few days ago.

Giving details about PTI’s proposal for talks, the federal minister said that ‘Four to five days ago, Fawad Chaudhry said that let’s sit down and talk, he was insisting on holding elections from March to April. We are suggesting October’.

“We asked them not to make conditions, but talks can be held unconditionally,” Sanaullah said while talking during the program.

The minister further said that PTI is divided into two factions.

“One faction supports madness, while the other somehow wants a way,” he shared, highlighting Khan’s flexibility to talk with the opposition.

He said that not talking to the opposition is Imran Khan’s narrative, adding that according to Khan’s narrative, it is better to die than to sit with the opposition.

Sanaullah said that politicians lead to negotiations to solve problems.

Commenting on Khan’s insistence on two important issues, including the appointment of the army chief, Sanaullah said his party’s stance has always been that there is no interference in politics.

“We wanted to talk to them about non-intervention, he said, adding that Khan’s politics favors intervention for its own benefit.

The Prime Minister is the person concerned to decide the appointment of the Army Chief and the date of election.

Commenting on the alleged threats against Arshad Sharif, Sanaullah said that the threat alert was issued on request.

“Imran Khan had issued a threat alert to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” he said, adding that none of the journalists who fled the country had reported the threat so far.
