Pakistan on Tuesday reacted strongly to the statement of a Russian senator, as it sought an explanation from Moscow.
In a statement issued by Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, it has been said that Russian Senator Igor Morozov’s allegations that Pakistan is allegedly helping Ukraine to develop nuclear weapons are baseless.
Terming the statement as surprising, shocking and without supporting evidence, Ahmed said it appears to have been made without any concrete evidence to back up the claims.
He further said that Islamabad has sought an explanation from the Russian Foreign Ministry on this issue.
Morozov on Tuesday identified Pakistan as a country that helps Ukraine acquire and develop nuclear weapons.
