According to reports circulating in the Indian media, security has been increased after Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher received death threats.
The three have been given security cover by the Maharashtra government.
Salman Khan has been given Y+ security after receiving death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. This gang is allegedly behind the murder of Indian singer Sidhu Musawala.
The veteran actor will be guarded round the clock by four security personnel.
A threatening letter was sent to Salman Khan and his father writer Saleem Khan in June this year.
Several members of the gang were also arrested in connection with the threats and during interrogation they confessed to targeting the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor.
Similarly, amid death threats, Akshay Kumar and Anupam Kher have been provided with X-category security meaning they will be guarded by three armed personnel.
Indian media said that the security expenses will be borne by celebrities.
