Islamabad: Press release issued by the Public Relations Department of Pakistan Army (ISPR) said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the headquarters of Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC) on Wednesday.
According to the army’s media wing, during the visit, the COAS interacted with the officers and troops and also appreciated their professionalism and high morale.
ISPR said that earlier the arrival of the Army Chief was received by Commander Army Strategic Forces Command Lt. Gen. Muhammad Ali, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command.
A day earlier, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of air defense in modern warfare and the need for continuous training and upgradation of modern air defense weapon systems in view of changing threats.
He said this while visiting the headquarters of the Army Air Defense Command on November 1, the army’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The Army Chief paid tribute to the great sacrifices made by the Air Defense officers and men of the Pakistan Army and appreciated the quality of training achieved.
