According to Reports, the mother of well-known journalist and anchorperson Arshad Sharif has written a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), seeking the formation of a high-powered judicial commission to investigate her son’s murder. has been demanded.
Sharif was shot dead by Kenyan police last month in a case of “mistaken identity” while on his way to Nairobi.
In a letter to the Chief Justice, Rafat Ara Alvi requested that the case of his son’s gruesome murder be prevented from becoming controversial. Demanding justice for the slain journalist, his mother requested the chief justice to take legal action as per law and appoint a high-powered judicial commission to end the sense of insecurity among the family and the journalist community. .
According to the letter, Alvi has demanded the inclusion of senior judges of the Supreme Court in the judicial commission to determine the real motive behind the killings and identify the culprits.
“Only knowing the real motives and culprits and bringing them to justice will end the agony of martyr Arshad Sharif’s family and his journalist community. Otherwise, I leave my case to Allah for His justice.” Waiting”, said the grieving mother.

However, she alleged that the Pakistani government pressured the UAE government to deport her son. The mother informed the Chief Justice that my martyred son immediately went to Kenya because of the easy visa-on-arrival policy and was brutally murdered two months later in Nairobi.
He said the real reasons behind the case were being covered up, which needed to be brought to light, especially given the changing stance of the Kenyan police, who had changed their minds at least four times.
He also said that before Pakistan’s investigation team left for Kenya on October 28, 2022, federal ministers started circulating various fabricated stories about the death of his martyred son.
