LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday condemned the assassination attempt on PTI Chairman Imran Khan and shared the cancellation of a press conference he was scheduled to address on the same day after returning from China.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of Khan and other injured and prayed for those who died in the attack.
“The attack is condemnable, however, it is my responsibility to play a positive role to protect the people when the nation is being driven to destruction by a false narrative,” he urged the PTI chief. That they produce evidence to support their allegations.
