Chris Evans has been named 2022’s Sexiest Man Alive. News was announced on Monday’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Evans, 41, best known for his iconic role as Captain America, joked that his “mom would be very happy.” “She’s proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about,” he told PEOPLE.

On Monday, the magazine announced that Grayman holds this year’s coveted title, dethroning Paul Rudd, who has been crowned with the honor in 2021.
Evans now joins a long-running club that includes Sean Connery, Tom Cruise, Idris Elba and 2020’s Sexiest Man Alive, Michael B. Jordan.
The People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2022 issue hit newsstands across the country on November 11.
