Rana Sanaullah Demanded Punjab and KP Govt to Open National Highways

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday asked the provincial governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to open national highways.

Addressing the press conference, the interior minister said that the ‘fitnah march’ is going on in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, due to which the roads are being blocked.

“I strongly request the provincial governments to open the national highways immediately,” Sanaullah said and apologized to the people affected by the march on behalf of the federal government.

The minister also said that only a few thousand people were protesting in the two provinces and urged the police to keep legal options open.

Sanaullah said during the press conference that “this is not a long march, two provinces are attacking the federation, two governments are protesting, otherwise people are not visible”.

He said in the press conference that if someone acts against national institutions, national unity or the interest of the state, such cases cannot be forgiven.

FIR Matter
Talking about the registration of First Information Report (FIR) against PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Sanaullah said that registration of FIR is not a problem in Punjab.

“It does not have the guts to file a false FIR. It is not legal to file a case in someone’s name,” the minister said, arguing that if any such precedent is set, FIR against everyone. will be entered.

Arshad Sharif was Killed in a Target Attack
In response to a question regarding the letter written by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a full court commission, the minister said without going into details: “According to my information, the letter was sent by the Prime Minister. Gone. Chief Justice of Pakistan.”

Speaking about the return of the investigation team from Kenya, the minister said that he has sought a briefing on the findings.

“There are some things that need further investigation, so I have asked the team to go to Dubai to look into the matter. I will request the Foreign Office to request the data from the Kenyan government or ambassador. If I have to If I get a chance to meet him, I will make this request personally.” He added that as far as preliminary details are concerned, it has been established that Arshad Sharif was killed in a targeted attack.

The minister added that the case of “mistaken identity” has not been proven and is doubtful. Sanaullah said that the two brothers Waqar and Khurram will not be out of the investigation.

He further said that a two-member team has worked hard on the case in detail.

“We don’t want to say anything that will increase the pain of Arshad Sharif’s mother,” the minister said, adding that those who shot the journalist knew who Sharif was and where he was sitting.

He further said that Sharif’s murder prima facie seems to have been done with collusion.
