London: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has accused PTI Chairman Imran Khan of trying to destroy Pakistan through his agitation.
Speaking briefly to the media after the third round of talks with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, the Prime Minister said that Imran Khan wants to destroy Pakistan but it will not happen.
The Prime Minister said that defeat is the destiny of those who are marching long.
Let us pray for the betterment of Pakistan. Let us pray to Allah to guide Pakistan to the right path. Nawaz said that Pakistan is in a lot of trouble.
Nawaz said that mob rule will not be tolerated. “We have never listened to the dictation of the crowd before, and we will not now.”
He confirmed to JEE News earlier in the day that he had received a diplomatic passport from the Government of Pakistan. “I have this passport for a few days.”
A member of the Sharif family also confirmed that Nawaz’s passport has reached London.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz condemned PTI’s long march and said that the common people are in dire straits due to the long march. “People are stuck and struggling. It’s bad.”
Both Nawaz and Prime Minister Shehbaz answered questions regarding the appointment of the next army chief.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and PML-N Punjab leader Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also participated in both rounds of talks.
Sources told JEE News that earlier, Nawaz decided not to bow to PTI’s pressure, especially on their key demand of early elections.
Nawaz asked Prime Minister Shehbaz to “continue all efforts to bring Pakistan out of the economic crisis and not succumb to any pressure”.
Sources said that the Sharif brothers ensured that the elections would be held on time and that the PTI chief’s planned march on Islamabad would be dealt with legally.
Shahbaz Sharif is likely to leave for Pakistan on Friday.
