Qamar Zaman Kaira, Advisor to Prime Minister on Kashmir Affairs and leader of People’s Party criticized PTI Chairman Imran Khan and said that the PTI chief is constantly telling lies.
PPP leader said, “For years, Imran Khan was happy with the allegations he is making.”
“One of the five most senior generals will be appointed as the next chief of the Pakistan Army. [The issue is not debatable because] no one from outside the Pakistan Army will be appointed as the army chief.”
Kaira said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had gone to London to consult with his party leader. He said that when he returns home, he will discuss this matter with the leadership of the People’s Party and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for London to meet PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif. Talking to the media in London, Shahbaz Sharif said that the appointment of the Army Chief is a constitutional issue and will be dealt with accordingly.
Sources say that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spent more than two hours with Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz. The PDM leadership will be taken into confidence regarding the decisions made in the Nawaz-Shahbaz huddle.
“Imran has not been contacted and will not be asked for his opinion,” he added.
The PPP leader noted that Imran Khan said that he is bringing a tsunami in Islamabad which is harmful to the country. He warned that if they appear armed in the federal capital, the law will take its course.
Qamar Zaman Kaira suggests that special laws are needed for illegal situations, and it should be determined how to deal with the violent party.
