Bollywood’s Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The couple announced the birth on Saturday after posting a photo of their daughter Devi’s feet on Instagram.
The shared post read, “Devi Basu Singh Grover. The physical manifestation of our mother’s love and blessings is here now and she is divine.”
As soon as they shared the big news with their followers, the Bollywood entertainment fraternity flocked to congratulate Basu and Grover. “Welcome to this world little one. Love love and more love always! Can’t wait to meet you. All our blessings,” Dia Mirza wrote. Sonam Kapoor was also there and congratulated the couple and praised the name of her little one.
Earlier announcing her pregnancy on Instagram, Basu had written, “A new time, a new stage, a new light casts another unique shade in the prism of our lives. Making us more whole than ever. We started this life as individuals and then we met each other and since then we have been two. So much love for just two, it seemed a little unfair for us to see… so soon, we who were two will now be three.”
During her pregnancy, the two actors shared frequent updates about Basu’s health. The Raaz actor then revealed that she did not have a physically active pregnancy and her routine had completely changed. The Race actor told JEE News, “Karan has been a hands-on husband. He wouldn’t let me do anything because I was very sick in the beginning. He has improved a lot during this phase because he never let me do anything like that.” Not seen inactive.
The actors met on the sets of Bhushan Patel’s 2015 horror film Alone. A year later, they tied the knot in a lavish traditional Bengali wedding. The couple was last seen sharing the screen in Vikram Bhatt’s crime thriller web series Dangerous.
