ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah was fitted with a pacemaker at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) Rawalpindi as he was suffering from an irregular heartbeat.

Sanaullah, who was admitted to AFIC last week with complaints of chest pain and irregular heartbeat, will be discharged from the hospital later today (Monday).

Doctors told JEE News on Sunday that the pacemaker was working properly and the minister’s heart function had improved significantly with the installation of the medical device, adding that he would lead a normal life and lead a normal life. will work.

The Muslim League (N) leader, who is 67 years old, underwent a heart operation in a hospital in Lahore 19 years ago.

On November 12, Sanaullah said that she is on the road to recovery after the health procedure.

“To all the well-wishers who are worried about my health after seeing my picture in the hospital, I am perfectly fine,” the minister said in an audio message.

“I had my heart surgery almost 20 years ago in 2004. For patients like me, some minor procedures and a routine check-up are necessary every two to three years.”

Sanaullah has been elected Member of Punjab Assembly five times from Faisalabad. He held high positions in different periods of Muslim League-N.

The home minister, who is also the party’s Punjab president, served as a staunch member of the then opposition during the PTI regime in the National Assembly.
