ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Monday that PTI Chairman Imran Khan will have to pay the political price for misleading the nation on the cipher issue and bringing disgrace and embarrassment to the country and Parliament.

In an interview, Imran said that as far as I am concerned, it is over, it is behind me. The Pakistan I want to lead should have good relations with everyone, especially America.

Commenting on Imran Khan’s U-turn on the cipher issue during his speech in the National Assembly, Asif said, “You cannot exonerate yourself by just saying that it is all over and now it is behind me. Is.”

The minister said that Imran condoned a fake document in a public meeting, calling it a cipher. Imran repeatedly said that ‘real freedom’ had been taken away from the people of Pakistan. Asif said the PTI chief termed the fall of his government as a conspiracy and linked him to Washington to bring in an ‘imported’ government.

He said that the nation should not let Imran off the hook and he should be held accountable for misleading them in the name of ‘conspiracy’ and repeating the mantra of ‘conspiracy’ in every corner of the country.

The federal minister said that the former prime minister played with the destiny and dignity of the country and the nation by raising his finger on the superpower of the world, with which Pakistan has a 70-year relationship.

Reiterating, he said that Imran will have to pay the political price for what he said in the past, but according to the constitution, he should also be held accountable.

“Now is the time for the nation and the Parliament to take Imran by the scruff of the neck,” Asif thundered. “His three-and-a-half-year rule has a long list of corruption cases. The prime minister’s highest office was involved in the theft of precious watches gifted to Tosha Khana.

Asif said that it is a pity that even after such a statement of Imran, a large number of people consider him as an honest person with ideals and beliefs. He said that Imran has not only backed down from his stand, but he is begging not only in front of America but also inside Pakistan.

He said that Imran Khan wants foreign and domestic support to continue his political dreams. He said that Imran’s political life is full of contradictions and he cannot maintain his stand on any issue for more than a few weeks or months.

Asif said that the National Assembly threw out Imran’s government and brought a new government to power through a vote, but Imran termed the whole exercise as an ‘international conspiracy’ and the government as imported.

He expressed regret that Nawaz Sharif and his daughter-in-law and Asif Ali Zardari and his sister were put behind bars on false charges during Nawaz Sharif’s reign without considering traditions.

He said that I myself faced charges under Article 6 which has never happened to any politician. According to a JEE News report, while talking to the media outside the Parliament House, the Defense Minister clarified that the appointment of the next Army Chief will be done by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as it is his constitutional discretion and mandate.

The Prime Minister has the authority to appoint the Army Chief. So, he will decide on the appointment,” he said in response to a question. Asked if the appointment of the army chief had been decided, the defense minister replied in the negative.

In response to another question regarding the role of PML-N leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the appointment of the army chief, Khawaja Asif said that it will be at the discretion of the prime minister and he will take the decision.

When asked if Nawaz Sharif was not being consulted on the issue, the minister said that no consultation has been done on the appointment of the Army Chief yet. These are just newspaper reports. Imran denies everything. He has talked so much in the last four years. Does he stick to any of his statements? If this is the first time that he has denied something?

“He himself does not remember the state he is in and what he says. Yesterday, he said that the FIR of his murder has not been registered. This man does not know what he says. If some people If they are ready to believe the words of Imran, then it is their case, Khawaja Asif said while commenting on Imran’s contradictory statements.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday night said that Imran Khan’s denial of his foreign conspiracy theory was a reminder of the evil role he played in harming Pakistan’s foreign relations by pursuing his petty politics. What was paid for?

He said on his Twitter handle, “Niazi’s interview with FT, in which he refutes his foreign conspiracy theory, is a reminder of the diabolical role he has played in Pakistan’s foreign relations by practicing his petty politics.” paid to harm.”

He said that Imran’s cunning and deception caused irreparable damage to Pakistan. Reacting to Imran Khan’s “U-turn” on the cipher issue, Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb on Monday said that this will not end the matter and he will have to be held accountable.

A mere withdrawal without an answer to the narrative on which chaos and lies have been spread across the country is not enough. Today there is no question of Imran but today there is a question mark for those who believed in his words.
