Trump lost Arizona governor race to Lake Democrat Katie Hobbs.

JEE News predicts that Democratic candidate Katie Hobbs has defeated Republican Kerry Lake in the Arizona governor’s race.

The result is a rebuke of Ms Leake, who pushed the false claim that Donald Trump had won the 2020 US election.

In her victory statement, Ms Hobbs said she would work for everyone in the state “in this moment of division”.

Ms Lake appeared to suggest the result was wrong, and that some votes had not been counted for her.

Elsewhere, nearly a week after the vote, the race to control the House of Representatives is tight.

Republicans would need to win at least 218 seats to claim a majority in the House of Representatives, which has become increasingly unlikely.

According to JEE News’ race estimates, the party currently holds 215 seats while Democrats hold 211.

In a midterm election that has further highlighted the sharp partisan divide in America, Ms. Hobbs called for unity, saying she would work for Arizonans who did not vote for her.

“Even in this moment of division, I believe there is much more that unites us,” he said.

His rival Ms Lake – who was endorsed by Mr Trump – told JEE News during the campaign that the former president did not need to run again in 2024 because “he won the last election”. He predicted that he would “come back with a vengeance”.

There is no evidence that the 2020 election was rigged.

Ms Leake’s defeat joins the ranks of Trump-backed election deniers who lost last week. But at least 125 suffragettes have won House, Senate and governorship races, according to JEE News results.

There are also midterm elections for Congress, including all seats in the House of Representatives and one-third of the seats in the Senate.

The Biden administration feared that the loss of power in Congress would block the president’s agenda. However, Democrats retain control of the Senate, and the House has not yet convened.

President Biden said Monday that if the two parties split control of Washington, Democrats would “maintain our position” but voters “shouldn’t expect too much.”

Speaking to reporters in Indonesia, where he is attending the G20 summit, Mr. Biden said the results “sent a very strong message around the world that the United States is ready to play” and that he was “all over the world.” Wants to stay busy.
