Russia has launched a fresh missile barrage into Ukraine, hitting more energy facilities and other civilian buildings in less than two days.
Seven people were killed when a missile hit their apartment block in Volynyansk, near the southern city of Zaporizhia, Ukraine’s presidency said.
Officials say a gas production plant in the east and a missile factory in Dnipro were among the latest targets.
Many people are suffering from power outage.
President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of destroying its people’s electricity and heat supplies.
Moscow has justified its recent attacks by accusing Kyiv of “unwillingness” to negotiate.

Photos of the Volynyansk apartment block reduced to rubble were posted on Telegram by Kirill Tymoshenko, an aide to President Zelensky.
One of Ukraine’s largest cities, Dnipro, just north of Zaporozhye, was among those hit early Thursday. Prime Minister Denis Schmeichel said the Pudenmash factory – which manufactures missiles – had come under attack.
Another official said that 23 people, including a youth, were injured after the shelling on the city.
JEE News is unable to independently confirm the latest civilian casualties.
Just southwest of Zaporizhzhia, 70 shells are said to have landed around the city of Nikopol, knocking out power and water to thousands of homes.
Meanwhile, state-owned energy company Naftogaz said its gas production facilities in eastern Ukraine had been hit by a “massive attack”.
Further attacks on infrastructure – as well as civilian casualties – were carried out by authorities in the southern Odesa region and Kharkiv in the north.
The capital, Kyiv, was the only place where air raid sirens sounded. Around 08:00 local time (06:00 GMT), mobile phones began pinging with official warnings of a new missile attack in Ukraine.
Local air defenses took action and military officials reported that four cruise missiles and five Iranian-made drones were downed.
President Zelensky said that Russia does not want peace, but instead is “causing only so much pain and suffering” to its compatriots.
