Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb on Friday accused former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan of money laundering and trading national interests for foreign Tosha Khana watches.
He said this while holding a press conference in Islamabad.
Questioning whether Imran was ever injured in the Wazirabad attack, the Information Minister told the PTI chairman that if he wanted to file a First Information Report (FIR) of the assassination attempt on his life. If they are unable, they should dissolve the Punjab government.
Aurangzeb said that Imran wants to file an FIR based on his wishes.
Referring to the new revelations in the Tosha Khana reference, the Information Minister asked the former prime minister to present the authentic receipts of the sale of the watch to the nation and clear his name.
He mocked the PTI chairman and said that his watches tell time but Imran Khan’s watch from Tosha Khana revealed his true moral worth.
On the problems faced by sugar producers and millers, Aurangzeb blamed Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for not allowing the mills to start crushing.
Commenting on Imran’s long wind march, which he is addressing via video link after being confined to his mansion in Lahore, Organzeb said that Imran Khan’s long march from home has turned into work.
“They are healthy and well,” he said, adding that the PTI chief was making baseless allegations against the government. He is fooling the people.
Aurangzeb accused the previous PTI government of political witchcraft.
He said that Imran Khan framed political opponents in false cases and sent them to jail during his regime.
He further said that from Imran Khan’s speech it can be concluded that he was not shot, only sad.
