The Islamabad Banking Court on Tuesday extended the interim bail of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the prohibited funding case.
The case was heard by Banking Court Judge Rukhshanda Shaheen.
Prosecutor Raja Rizwan Abbasi and co-accused in the case including Sardar Azhar, Syed Younis, Hamid Zaman, Tariq Shafi, Saifullah Niazi and Aamir Mehmood Kayani also attended the hearing.
Imran Khan’s lawyer requested the former prime minister to be exempted from the proceedings.
He said that his client had attended the previous hearings regularly, but due to the bullet injury in the Wazirabad attack, he could no longer appear in the court.
The court granted the petition on medical grounds and extended Imran Khan’s bail till December 14.
