As former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan called time on his long march by announcing a walkout from the assemblies, government allies scoffed at the idea and preferred to wait. Does this move really work?

“I think they should be separated from the assemblies but the elections should be held on time,” he asserted.
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that he expects another U-turn from Imran.
“They will take a U-turn on this,” he said, adding that members of Imran’s party would not support the move.
Meanwhile, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari termed Saturday’s PTI rally as ‘hostile’ and said Imran cut a desperate figure who resorted to ‘resignation drama’.
Imran’s demand from Rawalpindi is not freedom but re-election. How long will KP and Punjab be used as political props?
PTI facesaving flop show is anticlimactic. Unable to pull revolution crowds, failed at undermining appointments of new chiefs, frustrated, resorts to resignation drama. Imran demand from pindi is not azadi but to be reselected. How long will KP&Punjab be used as political props?
