The team was shifted to a hotel in the federal capital under tight security. The British High Commissioner in Islamabad will host a dinner in honor of the English team. Various Pakistani officials will participate in the event.
The home series is scheduled to begin on December 1, with the first Test to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. This test match will be played for the first time in the history of Pindi Stadium. Later, the second test will be played in Multan while the last test will be played in Karachi.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani team – which has been practicing for several days – will rest today. Both the teams will resume training at the Rawalpindi Stadium from tomorrow to Wednesday (November 28-30).
It should be noted that the Man in Green will participate in the second practice session while the Englishmen will participate in the first practice session.
England captain Ben Stokes, who led his team to a stunning victory against the Man in Green in the T20 World Cup 2022, will captain the team in the first Test series in 17 years in Pakistan. England’s Test squad toured Pakistan in 2005.
After a break of the same period, England toured Pakistan for a seven-match T20I series in September and won 4-3.
