Karachi: At least 40 Pakistani students have topped Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) exams in various subjects across the world and won ‘Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards’.
According to an official statement issued on Friday, “CAIE is delighted to announce the winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards in Pakistan. The awards celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of students in Pakistan for the June 2022 Cambridge examination.” “
It said many schools will hold individual awards ceremonies to celebrate the achievements of their learners.
“In total, 277 students in Pakistan received 304 awards for exceptional performance in Cambridge examinations, including 40 students who achieved the highest marks in the world in Cambridge examinations, and 43 students who achieved the highest marks in a single subject. Scored the highest marks in Pakistan,” he added.
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award program celebrates the success of learners taking Cambridge exams in over 40 countries around the world.
Cambridge International places learners at the center of its international academic programs and qualifications inspired by the best in educational thought.
CAIE Country Director Uzma Yusuf said, “I am delighted to congratulate the learners of Pakistan on their academic achievements in the June 2022 Cambridge examination series.”
He said the awards reflect the talent and hard work of learners and recognize the dedication and commitment of both teachers and parents.
“We hope this recognition of academic achievement will encourage learners in their future studies and careers,” he added.
The awards also celebrate the achievements of learners who have been recognized for “high achievement”, based on outstanding performance in subjects not yet widely taken up in Pakistan, and students who have has secured the highest overall marks in several subjects.
The winning learners beat thousands of candidates from around the world who sat for the June 2022 series of Cambridge O Levels, Cambridge IGCSEs and Cambridge International AS&A Levels exams, the statement added.
