ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said on Thursday that the involvement of TTP militants in terrorist activities inside Pakistan should be a cause of concern for the Afghan Taliban and is dangerous for regional peace.
The federal minister was talking to the media in the federal capital after attending a meeting organized to review the overall security situation of the country after the suicide attack in Quetta.
Rana Sanaullah said that the increase in terrorist activities is worrisome but the situation is not out of control. He asked the provincial governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan that before the federal government takes the matter in its hands.
“TTP is enjoying all facilities in Afghanistan,” the minister said, a day after the banned outfit claimed the Quetta attack that killed a policeman, a woman and two children. , while 26 people including 23 police personnel and two children were killed. , were injured.
“The KP chief minister was not allowed to attend the meetings chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on law and order,” the minister said and told the chief minister that some things are above politics as the state is more is important.
Referring to the domestic crisis, the PML-N leader said that “a group led by a madman is bent on creating chaos in the country”.
Rana Sanaullah said that they are making every possible effort to destabilize the country.
When there is political uncertainty in the country, the economy cannot be strong. When they [PTI] were in government, their agenda was to eliminate the opposition and now they are trying to destabilize the country.
He said that PTI’s announcement to quit the assembly is part of the plan to create crisis. “If you don’t want to be a part of this corrupt system, you should also opt out of the Senate, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Assemblies.”
The federal minister said that the elections will be held only on Punjab and KP assembly seats while the general elections will be held on time.
“Declaring dissolution of assemblies at rallies is unconstitutional and undemocratic.”
He said that we will try to prevent the assemblies from being dissolved.
