Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam starrer Dasvi will reportedly get a sequel.

According to sources, Dasvi director Tushar Jalota and producer Dinesh Vijan have met each other again to discuss the story for the film’s sequel. Both have tentatively named the film Barvi.

Sources said: “The makers feel that Dasvi deserves a sequel and want to take the story forward. Tushar has already started working on the script, and has an interesting idea for a part 2, which Dinesh has come up with. Also liked. If all goes according to plan – the film will go on floors this year.

Dasvi, with its unique and engaging plot turned out to be a huge hit among the audience.

The story of the film revolves around an uneducated and corrupt politician who goes to jail. During his imprisonment he realized the importance of education and decided to get his 10th standard certificate.

Talking about the film, Abhishek told Pink Villa in an interview that he has given an ode to his father Amitabh Bachchan in a scene from Dasvi in which he plays his father’s world-famous Badshah Khan from the film Khuda Gwaha. Mimic the character’s body language.

As for the sequel, sources have reached out to the maker to confirm the news, but have yet to hear back, reports JEE News.
