Aditya Roy Kapur is going to launch his music soon.
Aditya, who rose to fame with his film Aashiqui in 2013, has announced that he will be stepping into a new era in his life.
Recently some videos of the misguided actor have gone viral in which he can be seen playing the guitar and singing. So he has decided to take some time out of his busy schedule to focus on music craft.
In an interview with JEE News, he revealed: “I play music and now I’m working on an album which I hope to release soon. I’ve been in the studio, working on it. Music has always been a passion and a hobby but now I’m taking it more seriously.”
He added: “It came up as a possibility but it never happened. I discussed it with Mohit (Suri; filmmaker) during Aashiqui 2. He wanted me to go to the studio and just sing the songs and get a feel for them as a singer as I was playing a singer in the film.”
The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor recalled how he kept singing in a studio during the recording sessions of The Night Manager: “So, I went into the studio and sang Aashiqui songs all over, no matter how bad I sounded.”
“I think they muted me on their studio side, but I felt like I was singing to myself and got it out of my system.”
Aditya Roy Kapur also expressed his interest in singing for films: “I haven’t sung in a film but I’m sure it might happen sometime in the future. I’m sure a song is a song, be it Hindi or English. But I’d like to work on a song in Hindi a bit if I want to do it right for a film”, reports JEE News.
