Drake lost $1 million after betting on the 2022 FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and France on Sunday.
The Canadian rapper, 36, lost the big bucks despite picking Argentina as the match ended in a 2-2 draw at the end of 90 minutes at the Lucille Stadium, reported JEE News.
Drake took to his Instagram story and posted a screenshot of the bet he placed on the stack. He also revealed that the bet would have earned him $2.75 million if he had won.
The One Dance singer predicted the correct result, with Argentina going to lift the World Cup trophy.
However, they lost on a technicality as they bet the champion team to beat France in 90 minutes. Penalty shots left Drake in tears as he lost a huge sum.
Argentina won 4-2 on penalty shootout against France.
Drake previously placed a large bet on the Super Bowl, winning $1.4 million. However, the God’s Plan singer took a huge hit after placing a $2 million bet on a UFC fight during UFC 281 on Nov. 12 in New York.
