After Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan announced to quit all the assemblies, the opposition parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have become active to avoid dissolution of the assembly.
A day earlier, the former prime minister announced that his party had decided that he would not be part of “this system” and resigned from all assemblies, addressing a crowd in Rehmanabad during the party’s long march. will He said that the date of resignations will be announced soon.
Taking notice of this matter, the opposition parties of KP called an emergency meeting in the provincial assembly tonight at the residence of Leader of the Opposition Akram Durrani. Parliamentary leaders of all opposition parties will participate in the meeting where various options will be considered to avoid dissolution of the assembly.
Durrani said that no-confidence motion against KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and other options will be discussed.
Member of Assembly of Awami National Party Sardar Hussain Babak said that he will not allow the provincial government to dissolve the assembly.
Meanwhile, PML-N MPA Akhtar Wali said that he will also attend the meeting.
“Prime Minister Khan can’t even break almonds, how can he break the assemblies,” said Wali.
He said that 4 crore people of the province have confidence in KP Assembly. He said that he would move a no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister and use the option of approaching the court against the matter.
‘Ready to resign, leave the government’: Muhammad Ali Saif
Meanwhile, KPK Chief Minister’s Special Assistant on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said the provincial government would strictly follow Khan’s orders.
Saif said that we are ready to resign, dissolve the assemblies and leave the government.
He further said that fresh and transparent elections are the only solution to get out of this political crisis.
Saif said the “imported” government should announce fresh elections if it is sincere with the nation.
Talking about the PTI rally in Rawalpindi, Saif said the “historic power show” broke all past records.

In a surprise move, PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday announced that his party has decided that he will not be part of “this system” and will quit all assemblies.
Addressing an angry crowd in Rehmanabad, Khan said he would not be part of the current political system and would instead resign from all assemblies.
It should be noted that Khan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf is in power in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
He further said that Tehreek-e-Insaaf has decided to walk out from the assemblies instead of creating havoc. However, Khan said he would announce the exact date in the next few days.
He added that he has spoken to his chief ministers and will discuss the matter with the parliamentary party and soon announce when the party will leave the assemblies.
