After IPP, a new party under leadership of Pervez Khattak is on horizon

Nowshera: In a major blow to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his PTI, party leaders from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter are all set to form a new political party, JEE News reported on Sunday.

Reliable sources say that the manifesto and flag of the new party under the leadership of former Defense Minister and KPK Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has been finalized.

Moreover, one of three names – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians, Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan and Muttahida Tehreek-e-Insaf Pakistan – will be chosen for the new party.

Khattak, who served as PTI Secretary General and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister during the PTI regime, stepped down as PTI-KP president soon after the May 9 disaster.

However, earlier this week, the party sacked him for failing to respond to a “show cause notice” issued to him.

A meeting of PTI leaders including former National and Provincial Assembly members has been called in Peshawar, the new party will be announced soon in a news conference.

Sources said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had also contacted Pervez Khattak and asked him to join their parties.

However, Pervaiz Khattak has decided to form his own political party instead of joining any other party.

Earlier, Pervez Khattak completed homework and consultation with PTI leaders and ‘electables’ of other political parties in Islamabad and Peshawar. More than 50 former MNAs and MPAs are likely to join the new party.

Meanwhile, sources familiar with the political turmoil also revealed that the general elections will be held in 2024.

He said that former prime minister Khan is being surrounded as cases will be registered against him under the Army Act, apart from the ongoing cases – Tosha Khana and Al Qadir University Trust, which the Election Commission of Pakistan and Established by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). NAB) respectively – to their logical conclusion.

Sources further say that some close associates of the former prime minister and bureaucrats will become endorsers against Imran Khan to confront him with the establishment.

IPP will be part of federal cabinet, says Tareen.

While a new party led by Cuttack is expected to be launched soon, Isthakum Pakistan Party (IPP) chief Jahangir Khan Tareen has said that leaders Aoon Chaudhry and Noman Langrial will remain part of the federal cabinet till the end of the government’s term.

Aun has also denied reports of his resignation from the cabinet and said that he is part of the prime minister’s team until the end of the government’s term.

Addressing the party meeting on Saturday, IPP President Aleem said that instructions have been issued to form groups in agriculture, industry and other sectors where new policies will be formulated for the future of Pakistan.

Talking to party leaders Norez Shakoor from Sahiwal, Rana Nazir Ahmed from Gujranwala, Mamoon Jafar Tarar from Hafizabad and Dewan Akhlaq from Okara, they said that the annual growth rate has come down to an alarming level and measures have to be taken on emergency basis.

He said that according to the current requirements, there is a need to introduce policies on modern lines for which the recommendations of agricultural and economic experts will be included in the party manifesto.

Aun said that providing more jobs will be the top priority as a stable economy is the most important need of the hour, without which Pakistan cannot get a place in the United Nations.

He added that unfortunately nothing was done for the youth in the previous government except to mislead them.
