Akshay Kumar’s recently released film Ram Sethu has taken off to a flying start at the box office as the film collected a gross of INR 15 crores on the first day of its theatrical release, as reported by India Today.
According to reports, the film collected Rs 15.25 crore on its first day in theatres. The film clashed with Ajay Devgn’s Thank God at the box office, which collected Rs 8 crore on its first day. Ram Sethu also had the second best opening of the year after Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra.
The numbers of the film are looking promising and the makers hope that the film will continue to run at the same pace for a few more days. The Diwali release also helped Akshay Kumar’s film do well at the box office.
Ram Sethu is an action adventure drama film directed by Abhishek Sharma and starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nusrat Bharucha in lead roles.
