Amid PTI’s smear campaign against IHC CJ, parties warned against attacking institutions.

Amid a smear campaign by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) against Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamir Farooq, the Ministry of Law and Justice has warned political parties against targeting state institutions.

Without naming anyone, the ministry said in a statement that a political party’s campaign on social media against the IHC chief justice is condemnable.

The ministry added that the party was using derogatory language not only against Justice Farooq but also against the judiciary, JEE News reported on Monday.

Party official X-Handel’s campaign calls Justice Farooq a “hypocrite” and accuses him of facilitating the abduction of the PTI chairman. Various offensive hashtags, posts and videos are also being used to target the judge.

According to legal experts, this campaign is a direct attack on the judiciary and judges, contempt of court.

In a related development, the Islamabad High Court Bar Association strongly condemned the malicious campaign on social media against IHC Chief Justice Farooq, asking him to be known for his integrity, impartiality, competence and merit. go

The bar said that the deliberate malicious campaign was an attempt to lower the stature of the honorable judge and undermine public confidence in the judiciary.

He added that those inciting malicious propaganda should be brought to justice.

In a separate statement, IHCBA President Naveed Malik said that a malicious campaign was being carried out on social media targeting Justice Farooq.

He said that these relentless campaigns based on nefarious motives are an attempt to tarnish the innocent reputation of Chief Justice Amir Farooq. The Islamabad High Court Bar is determined not to let such malicious attempts succeed at any cost,” said the IHCBA president.

“The authorities concerned are requested to take immediate and decisive action against those instigating malicious propaganda. The real motives of these characters and their attempts to spread misinformation should be brought to light immediately.
