Lahore/ Lala Musa: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) chief Nawaz regarding the appointment of the new Chief of Army Staff (COAS). Called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to consult with Sharif.
Addressing the participants of the Long March from his residence in Lahore, he claimed that Prime Minister Shehbaz violated the Official Secrecy Act by consulting Nawaz Sharif on the appointment of the new COS.
Referring to Prime Minister Shehbaz’s visit to London last week, he said, “How can the Prime Minister consult a fugitive [Nawaz] on the appointment of the Chief of Army Staff?” “It is impossible to imagine that a convicted and absconding person will now take important decisions in Pakistan,” he said, adding that a court would be approached against the violation of the Secrecy Act.
The former prime minister said that the leaders of the ruling coalition were only thinking about protecting their wealth, questioning whether they should be trusted with important decisions of the country.
Imran Khan claimed that a propaganda cell was politicizing him by selecting certain parts of his interviews with foreign media. Addressing the participants of the long march through a video link, the PTI chairman reiterated that despite being in power in Punjab and being the former prime minister of the country, he did not receive the first information report of the attack on him in Wazirabad. IR) could not be entered.
PTI has approached the Supreme Court, he said, adding that he hoped the honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan [Umar Atta Bandyal] would look into the matter.
Khan said he knew who was involved in the conspiracy to kill him. However, “despite my constitutional right, I could not file an FIR”. “They [authorities concerned] listened to powerful factions and did not register an FIR,” he lamented, despite being a prominent leader. “Now think how they treat the common man?” he asked.
He further said that Senator Azam will also hear Swati’s case in the Supreme Court, hoping that Chief Justice Bandyal will hear Swati’s case himself. In Swati’s case, “I will rely only on the judgments of the Supreme Court,” he added.
Addressing the participants of the True Freedom March in Mandi Bahauddin through video link, he said that if we fix the justice system in our country, so much money can come from Pakistanis living abroad that we will not be like beggars. will have.
“When I started “Tehreek Insaaf” 26 years ago, I said that our problem is only one and that is that there is no justice here. I knew that overseas Pakistanis want to invest in Pakistan but they don’t because they don’t have confidence.
“An investor is always a coward because an investor wants to put money where he can get a profit. A true freedom movement is a movement for justice. Justice is when the courts side with the weak.
“Winston Churchill [former British Prime Minister] said during World War II that if our courts are delivering justice, no power can destroy us. I request the Chief Justice of Pakistan that two important decisions in London One is being decided whether early elections will be held or not, the other is being decided who will be the army chief.
I want to put before the nation that it cannot be imagined that a fugitive and convicted person will take such important decisions of the country. “This does not happen in any civilized society. Shahbaz Sharif is the Prime Minister of the country. Does this person not know how he cannot consult a fugitive on a sensitive issue like the appointment of the Army Chief? This is a violation of the Official Secrets Act and We will take [legal] action against him. How can he talk to this fugitive? The question is, does this fugitive and convicted person love Pakistan?
Will this person decide whether the elections in Pakistan should be early or on time? Does he have any stake in Pakistan? Their children are sitting abroad. Will this person decide to hold an election? This person has only one goal, how to steal country’s money and then how to take NRO?
Will a person with such goals make important decisions of the country? As long as PDM is in power in the country, Pakistan cannot get out of this quagmire. How will we repay the installments when the national income is less?
Economic stability does not come unless there is political stability. Economic stability can only come after political stability. Nawaz Sharif did not care about merit all his life. It is the grave tragedy of the country that those who fear that they will lose if early elections are held, therefore do not hold elections. They are delaying the elections for their personal interest.
“The whole country should think whether we should allow such a man to take important decisions of the country?” We should not allow that at all.”
Imran Khan said that I have been saying the same thing for 26 years that we want to be friends with everyone but do not want to be slaves to anyone. We want to be friends with India if India is ready to resolve the Kashmir issue. I tried to be friendly with India during my government also. Read my published statements at the time when we joined America’s ‘war on terror’. I used to say that this is not our war.
“We are sacrificing our people in someone else’s war. I kept saying the same thing that we sacrificed our people because we are not free and our thoughts are not free. We are slaves. Our foreign policy does not protect the interests of the people of Pakistan. It sacrifices its own people for someone else. I don’t want any animosity. We want the best relations with China, Russia, America, but we don’t want to be slaves.
“I put the cipher in front of the National Security Council and Parliament. The President of Pakistan showed that letter to the Chief Justice. Pakistani Ambassador Asad Majeed sat in the National Security Council during Shahbaz Sharif’s tenure and said that the sentence was correct and Donald Lowe told him. Imran Khan was threatened to be removed.
A second meeting of the Security Council also confirmed that there had been ‘interference’. We want our relations with all countries to be good because the more countries we have good relations with, the more our trade will increase and the country will develop.
The former prime minister said that sometimes there comes a time in the life of nations when the nation stands at a decisive point. Today we are on the journey of true freedom. Our march is for real freedom and that freedom comes with justice. A common man will get rights through justice and rights will give him freedom.
In Pakistan bribes are demanded from small businessmen but there is nothing like that in Dubai or Malaysia as there is no law in Pakistan. Pakistan is ranked 129th in the global index of rule of law. A nation cannot achieve freedom unless it struggles for its own freedom. “You must break your own chains.”
PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Hammad Azhar also addressed the participants. PTI’s second long march rally led by senior party leader Asad Umar reached Jaranwala on Monday. Addressing the large gathering, he said that the true freedom march has begun and it will not stop until its goals are achieved.
