A group of Baloch artists have started painting flawless sketches of the national team players on the beaches of Balochistan to encourage the Pakistan national cricket team to win the semi-finals and then the World Cup T20 final.

He drew sketches of Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam and the T20 World Cup trophy within an hour.

“We want Babar Azam to bring this trophy to Pakistan and win the final after qualifying in the semi-finals,” says Sameer, one of the collective artists of the Rashidi Art Group.

The group includes some exceptionally talented youngsters. They make sketches on the wet sand found on the beaches of Gidani.

Their tools? A scale, a rack and a twig.

Honing Their Skills
Balochistan’s Rashidi Art Group has been showcasing its art for almost two years and has gained a huge fan following in this short span of time.

According to the young artistes, their teacher created the group in his teacher’s name to pay tribute to a man who died in a road accident.

International Focus
Rashidi Art Group’s sketches have already gained international attention after their sketch of a popular Indian cricketer, Virat Kohli, went viral on social media.

Such was his popularity that he eventually attracted the attention of the Indian cricketer himself, who responded by appreciating the incredible talent of the Baloch youth.

He did not limit his talent to cricketers only. He has also sketched famous football players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

“I was not sure that my art had reached Virat Kohli in India,” Sameer said.
