ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Faisal Vawda on Wednesday claimed that contrary to the Kenyan police’s version, journalist Arshad Sharif was shot at close range, hence his killing was “premeditated”.

Addressing a press conference at the National Press Club in the federal capital, Vawda, who claimed to be a close friend of the slain journalist, said that regardless of how the investigation into his murder is initiated, the evidence related to his murder will remain intact. Included. Mobile phones, laptops, and documents — “will never be found because they’ve been erased.”

He rejected the version of the Kenyan police – who maintained that Arshad was killed in a case of “mistaken identity” when local law enforcement officers fired 20 shots at his car – and Said that only two shots were fired at him.

“I think he was shot twice, one in the head and one in the chest, either by someone sitting in the car or by someone very close by.”

Vawda explained that bullets cannot be fired from a long distance when they hit the head and chest directly, adding that “if it was from a distance, 8-10 bullets would have been fired.”

“The story that has been told regarding the case of mistaken identity should have been well framed because it doesn’t matter which country the question is, if the police find a child in the car. Had they suspected (as they claim) they would never have fired, he added, adding that in this case only Arshad died as part of a cold, premeditated, brutal murder that was orchestrated. was

He lamented the justice system in Pakistan as well as in Kenya – where he said conditions were worse than in Pakistan – and claimed that Arshad was “chosen to be killed by people in Kenya who want to kill the country”. want to break.”

‘Not Just an Accident’
The PTI leader said that the killing of the journalist is now a matter of honor and dignity of Pakistan, so I will speak the truth without fearing the consequences because his martyrdom was not just an accident but a premeditated murder.

He also said that the “conspirators” blackmailed Arshad and threatened him to leave Pakistan, so he went to Dubai.

“Later it was claimed that either the establishment or some unknown entities pressured him and asked him to leave Dubai, but this report is false, I will tell you the details later.”

The PTI leader said that Arshad completed his stay in Dubai till his visa expired and later it was reported that he had gone to London. “He didn’t even go to London, though.”

Vawda asserted that a person was “conspiracy” against the slain journalist and had informed PTI Chairman Imran Khan about the “conspiracy”.

The PTI leader said that “Arshad was an honest person, but behind the conspiracy he was told about was another conspiracy”.

Vawda added that a common man cannot send Arshad from Dubai to Kenya. “These are people who want to see instability and chaos in the country. This was not an ordinary death, it was a cold blooded one,” he reiterated.

I Was In Constant Contact With Arshad
The PTI leader said that the journalist was in touch with the establishment and was ready to return to the country, but some people were calling him a ‘conspiracy’.

He added that Arshad was ready to return to Pakistan, but the “conspirators” believed that it was better to kill him as many truths would be revealed in his presence.

“You may ask how would I know such things? Well, I was in touch with Arshad Sharif till the last moment and I am not going to give my phone to any international agency for forensic analysis to verify the truth of my statement. Ready for it.” said the former minister.

Vawda said the players behind the “conspiracy” were in Pakistan, adding that Sharif had positive relations with the establishment – “and I was part of those discussions.”

The PTI leader said that the people behind this “conspiracy” were not beyond his reach.

‘Bleeding, Death and Funerals’
The former minister said the PTI’s long march – scheduled to start from Lahore on October 28 (Friday) – “will witness bloodshed, death and funerals.”

“These funerals will happen, but I will try till my dying day to save my fellow Pakistanis from sacrificing their lives for the conspiracy of some people. I will try to end this politics of death and bloodshed in this country. “

Vawda said the long march would lead to “significant and common” deaths, adding that there were “nefarious motives” behind the Islamabad march.

He said there would be a number of casualties before and during the long march as it was meant to “distract” so that the nation would “start seeing black things as white”.

Will Share Evidence With Military Intelligence
Vawda said he was ready to share evidence with military intelligence and inter-services intelligence, adding that he would share more details about Arshad’s killing in the coming days.

Claiming that neither the establishment nor any politician was involved, he said the current establishment “would be very foolish if it had planned something”.
