Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi are all set to work together again in the new film Jail. The latter revealed that the film’s plot is similar to Munna Bhai MBBS.
Speaking to Mid-Day, Arshad said: “Jail is Munna Bhai in terms of story and content. The film has heart and a sweet message. The script is in progress with Siddhant, who is also writing it.”
The Dhamaal actor also revealed that it is taking time to flesh out the characters for Jail, as the makers first have to get Manna and Circuit out of the minds of the audience.
“The challenge is in Sanju’s and my characters. When Sanju and I come together, the first thing we have to do is get the mana circuit out of the audience’s head.
“That’s why character building is a long process. If a jail scene reminds us too much of Manna and Circuit, we have to rewrite it,” Arshad said.
The first poster unveiled by the makers showed both the legends posing behind bars and dressed in prison attire. The film is currently in the scripting stages.
As reported by JEE News, the film is being developed by Sanjay Dutt himself.
