Arshad Warsi recently described himself as an underutilized actor in the film industry in an interview.
Arshad, who has been a part of some of the most iconic films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Jolly LLB, Hulchul, Lage Rahe Munna Bhai, admits that he could have done more if given the chance.
In a chat with Bollywood Hingama, the actor was asked if he felt he was underused.
He replied: “Oh yeah, I get it all the time. I know I could do a lot more, I know I could do a lot more. All actors feel that way but yeah, I I seem to be underutilized quite a bit.
The 55-year-old actor added: “I could have done many, many projects. There are many projects that I was supposed to do, but at the last minute they went to other people. I felt they shouldn’t have done it. , because I would have done a lot better than that. So yeah, I’m underrated and underused.”
Arshad made his debut in the entertainment industry as Mahesh Bhatt’s assistant director for the film Kash. Later he made his acting debut in the movie Tere Mere Sapne in 1996. He rose to fame after giving a brilliant performance in Rajkumar Hirani’s Mannabhai MBBS.
He was last seen with Chitrangda in Amazon Prime’s Modern Love: Mumbai.
