At least 18 people were injured as a result of train derailment in Bolan.

In another terror incident in the restive province of Balochistan, at least 18 people were injured when a remote-controlled bomb exploded on a railway track in Bolan, derailing a train engine and seven bogies.

Railway officials told the media that the injured have been shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Sibi.

Local officials said that the Jaffar Express train was going from Machh to Sabi when the blast took place.

“A relief train was dispatched from Sibi to rescue the passengers of the train and bring them safely to Sibi. Passengers of Jafar Express from Peshawar to Mutch were stopped at Sibi and now they will be brought to Quetta by buses,” he added. Is.”

According to Deputy Commissioner Kuchi Agha Samiullah, the blast was carried out by a remote control device.

On the other hand, the bogies of the derailed train are being removed from the railway track.

Gasline explosion
The repair work of the 12-inch diameter gas pipeline that burst in Sirajabad area of Bolan on January 17 could not be completed, affecting gas supply to some areas of Balochistan.

According to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), the repair work has been delayed due to rain and will be completed in a week.

SSGC also informed that Quetta and other areas are currently being supplied with gas through an alternate line.

After the pipeline burst, SSGC wrote on its official Twitter handle: “Law enforcement and intelligence agencies are working to determine the cause of the damage.”

The SSGC also said that the pipeline has been secured. As a response, the local administration has started cleaning the surrounding area at night.

Terrorist attacks
According to an annual report released by the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS), Balochistan continued to be hit by terrorist attacks with 110 attacks last year, making it the second most insecure province in the country.

More than 250 people lost their lives, while more than 200 were seriously injured in terrorist attacks and counter-attacks in the province.

More than two dozen attacks followed in the last month of the year, accounting for a quarter of the total deaths in Balochistan, a province that accounts for only 6% of the country’s population.

According to reports, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch Nationalist Army (BNA), terrorist organizations, are primarily involved in terrorist incidents in the country’s largest province by area. At least 14 major attacks took place in Balochistan, most of which targeted security forces.

Security forces have been the main target of terrorist attacks in the province.
